BLAYNEY YOUNG WOMAN COMPETITION -
(Formerly the BLAYNEY SHOWGIRL COMPETITION)

The Young Woman competition aims to find a young female Ambassador for the Blayney show and the agricultural show movement.
The Blayney show Young Woman is selected by a panel of judges and remains Showgirl until the next year’s Show.  She will go onto compete in the Agricultural Show Council's zone final and if successful will go onto The Sydney Royal AGSHows NSW Young Woman Competition.
Entrants must have a genuine interest in and knowledge of rural NSW. The Competition encourages the participation and awareness of issues faced by women in rural NSW.
Contestants are judged on rural knowledge, general knowledge, community passion and involvement and potential ambassadorial qualities including presentation skills, communication skills, personality, confidence, ambition and life goals.
Today, contestants continue to be young rural women with purpose and ambition and the Competition plays a significant role in the overall development of rural youth, attracting strong support from entrants and the community.
Blayney Showgirl Competition will be announced at the official opening of the show.
